december 2002. it´s bitterly cold outside - as well as in the non-heated rehearsal room within an ancient factory for margerine, where ICON are trying their first death metal riffs. arose out of the rest of a power-metal-like combo finally became a death metal act.

the (fan)zine-writers have difficulties to describe their music-style. some call it "melo-death", classic death metal, parts of german thrash and so on. they compare the sound with bands like amon amarth, arch enemy, vader or disbelief.
